Privacy Policy

We collect the following types of information when you use ArchitechIQ:

• Account information: email address, display name, and authentication provider (Google, GitHub, or magic link).
• Usage data: learning progress, quiz scores, XP, streak data, design canvas activity, and feature usage patterns.
• Technical data: browser type, device information, IP address, and session logs for security and debugging.
• Payment data: billing information is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

• Provide and personalize the learning experience (progress tracking, recommendations, adaptive content).
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Generate AI-powered design reviews and interview feedback.
• Improve our platform through aggregated, anonymized analytics.
• Communicate important updates about your account or the service.
• Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides row-level security, encryption at rest (AES-256), and encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+). Our database infrastructure is hosted in SOC 2 Type II compliant data centers.

Local progress data may also be cached in your browser using localStorage via Zustand stores. This data stays on your device unless you explicitly sync it.

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): powers AI design reviews and mock interviews. Your design submissions are sent to Anthropic's API for analysis. Anthropic does not use this data for training.
• ElevenLabs: provides text-to-speech for audio content. Text content is sent for voice synthesis.
• Stripe: handles all payment processing. Your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: provides authentication and database services, governed by Supabase's Privacy Policy.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Essential cookies are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled.

• Authentication cookies: maintain your login session securely.
• Preference cookies: store your theme selection (dark/light mode).

You have the right to:

• Access: download all data associated with your account at any time from your dashboard settings.
• Delete: permanently delete your account and all associated data from your dashboard settings.
• Rectify: update or correct your personal information.
• Portability: export your learning progress in a machine-readable JSON format.
• Withdraw consent: opt out of non-essential data processing at any time.

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under the GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely.

ArchitechIQ is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the platform or sending an email to your registered address.
